A loan of $975 helped a member to buy food supplies (maize).

Emilenne's Group's story

This group consists of four women who live in the same house. The group's representative, named Émilienne, is 58 years old. She is the woman raising her hand in the photo.

Émilienne did not attend school. She is married to a man named Désiré with whom she has four children. All their children are in school and two are their dependents. Émilienne lives with her husband and her children and jointly takes care of the household expenses with her husband.

In order to contribute to the family's expenses, Émilienne has been selling food supplies (maize) through the distribution system, for about a year. She buys her goods at a market located in Benin.

Eager to satisfy the needs of her customers and to increase her turnover and income, she is requesting a second loan from ALIDé, along with the other members of the group. Their previous loan was duly repaid.

In this group: Emilenne , A. Marie, A. Hélène, A. Antoinnette
