A loan of $1,025 helped a member to purchase leather, rexine, gum, and nails for making shoes.

Azra's Group's story

Azra, age 42, is the leader of this borrower group. She adores her family and her husband works very hard so that his family can have a good and respectable life. Her husband owns a shoe shop in the main market. He wants to purchase some shoe making material but, due to insufficient savings, he finds it difficult. Therefore, Azra is requesting a loan from Kiva partner BRAC Pakistan for her husband. He will use the loan amount to purchase leather, rexine, gum, and nails for making shoes. With the profits expected from this loan, he intends to expand his business so that he can eventually construct a small house for his family. They are going through serious financial issues, but Azra hopes that their living conditions get better with the passage of time.

She is thankful to Kiva lenders and to BRAC Pakistan.
