Shehzadi's Group's story

Shehzadi is a 44 year-old woman. She lives in Lahore, Pakistan. She is a responsible mother of four children. Her husband owns a restaurant which is the only source of income for the family. He wants to purchase food items for the restaurant. They include flour, pulses, beef, mutton and chicken for preparing dishes.

However, due to the lack of money, he finds it difficult. Therefore, Shehzadi, as a member of a five person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva's partner, BRAC Pakistan, to help her husband to cover the cost of purchasing food items. With the profits expected from this loan, he intends to purchase a variety of vegetables and chicken for the restaurant. Shehzadi is very thankful to Kiva.
