A loan of $1,300 helped to purchase primary materials for weaving and embroidering.

Maria Concepcion's story

Maria Concepcion is a native of San Martin Jilopeque and for more than 4 years, she has dedicated her efforts to embroidery and traditional weaving. This has helped her to get ahead and to assist her family with household expenses.

The indigenous regional dresses and blouses she weaves are very marketable in the area. And the cost is a little higher, since the embroidery is very special and the designs, themes and colors are very precious.

Maria Concepcion has been responsible with her loans. She has worked with the Foundation for various years, and is currently soliciting a loan to purchase thread, cloth, and materials for her weaving and embroidering.
