A loan of $1,050 helped to buy a cow for his business.

Kapr's story

This is 33-year-old Kapr. He is married and has one child aged seven years. In 2007, Kapr established his cow meat business, which he began because he was trained as a businessman. His business is located in the outskirts of town and his main customers are women and men. Working seven days a week and ten hours a day, he earns about SLL 500,000 every month. Kapr now requires a loan of SLL 4,500,000 in order to purchase a whole cow, which he will slaughter and sell, for his business. He hopes that this loan will help him to establish a ‘woreh’ (cattle ranch) and start selling wholesale.

Kapr was unable to establish a ‘woreh’ previously as his loan provided a livelihood for his family and paid school fees for his child. He still plans to establish a ‘woreh’ and continue to support his child’s education. He thanks you for your support.
