Caminando Hacia Al Progreso 1 & 7 Group's story

Leocadia is one of the members of the group Caminando Hacia el Progreso (Walking to the Future) 1 & 7. This group is located in a rural community surrounded by sugarcane fields on the outskirts of San Pedro de Macoris, where the group's members sell various products like foods, clothes, shoes, etc.

Leocadia makes her home in a simple structure with her long-term partner and their three children. For the past five years she has operated a fruit and vegetable stall where, in addition to fruits and vegetables she sells meat, charcoal, etc. She started her business with her own savings.

Leocadia is excited to be a part of this loan, her 10th with Esperanza after having repaid her previous loan portions and grown her business. She plans to use this loan to invest in her business inventory by buying plantains, onions, cassava, bananas, oranges, chickens, coriander, greens products, etc.

Leocadia says that her most difficult challenges are improving her business and helping her family. She thanks you all for your support!!!
