A loan of $3,075 helped a member to buy construction tools.

San Francisco Group's story

The communal bank San Francisco will start the first cycle at Pro Mujer as part of Centro Focal de Panamericana. It is composed of eight members and is led by a board of which Eva is the president. The communal bank's businesses are varied and include: tool sales, crafts, clothing sales, production of plastic folders, and weaving traditional blankets.

The loan requested will benefit the small businesses where Eva is a member. It is her first time joining Pro Mujer, which she does through an invitation from a promoter of the institution that visited her at home. Currently, she has a business selling construction tools, which she undertook on the recommendation of a friend; she has now been doing it for eight years.

The loan requested is to increase capital (purchase construction tools), that she will acquire from distribution companies and then sell in her space. This way of working allows her to generate resources to support her studies because she is single.

When asked what she likes about Pro Mujer, she says that she likes the health area.

In this group: Eva, Reynalda , Fabiola, Arminda, Lourdes , Fausta, Virginia, Rosmery
