A loan of $1,250 helped to buy fertilizer and soil amendments.

Delia's story

Delia, 37, is a mother who strives, an entrepreneur with a lot of strength and a desire for self-improvement. She has four adult children who live in established households with their families.

She and her husband live alone in her house and are involved in various farming activities together in the family because it's their only means of income. She learned agriculture, planting and growing coffee, from a very young age thanks to her parents, who were lifelong farmers. The land she and her husband farm is their own, from a family inheritance. The other part they bought with the effort of their work. The land is located on the same property where they live.

Currently she's requesting help to buy fertilizer and soil amendments to be able to take care of her own coffee crop to prevent deterioration of the product and loss of the bean. This is the basis of her income for herself and her family.

Her dream as a mother is to be able to leave a small piece of land to each of her children as an inheritance so they can work and continue generating income for their families with well-strengthened assets to confront financial challenges favorably.
