A loan of $1,750 helped to buy construction materials for repairing his stable so he can keep his dairy cows warmer so they can produce better quality milk.

Hernan's story

Hernan raises dairy cattle for the production of milk, which he sells to one of industrial milk plants in La Paz. He lives with his family in their own house, located in the community of Kallutaca, in the Laja sector of the province of Los Andes, in the department of La Paz, an hour’s distance from the city of La Paz. Hernan has several head of improved breed cattle, which require more care with their feed.

He needs the loan to buy construction materials to repair his stable so that he can keep his cattle healthy by keeping the stable warm. This will help him increase his production and improve his income for his family. Hernan also has a second business—he has a minibus that he uses for passenger transportation between La Paz and Laja.

Hernan’s dream is increase his number of cattle and become one of the largest producers in the sector.

This is the fourth time he has requested a loan with IMPRO and the second time with Kiva.
