A loan of $1,400 helped to buy cement, bricks, and tin roofing sheets to repair her stable so she can keep her dairy cows healthier so they can produce more milk.

Gertrudis's story

Gertrudis raises cattle for the production of milk, which she sells in her community at retail price. Her husband works as a master bricklayer in the city of El Alto. She lives in her own house along with her daughter. Her house is located I the community of Kasa Santa Rosa, in the Gauqui sector of the province of Ingavi, in the department of La Paz, three and half hours from the city of La Paz. She has a few head of improved breed cattle, which require a lot of care due to the climate of the sector. She needs the loan to buy construction materials: cement, bricks, etc. With this she will be able to repair the stable for the cattle so that she can improve their production by improving their health. The health of the cows is very important to the production of better quality milk. Gertudis’ dream is to increase her number of cattle by taking good care of their health. This is the first time she has requested a loan with IMPRO and also the first time with Kiva.
