Cahangir's story

Cahangir is 36 years old, married, and the father of four children. He is an 'internally displaced person' (IDP), and lives with his wife and children in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. Cahangir is a Fuzulu refugee. He raises cattle, fattens them, and sells them for a profit; he has been in this business for 12 years. Cahangir is very kind and caring, and is also very energetic in his work. Cahangir chose not to study since high school, but to continue the family tradition and to do this business. This is a very profitable business, and he is doing it together with his wife. Cahangir sells meat at the central bazaar for profit. In Azerbaijan, there is a high demand for meat because it is used in a lot of meals, such as kufta (soup), kababs, dolma, etc. His income from this business is 195 AZN per month. In order to fully support the family, Cahangir is looking forward to expanding the business and making it very successful. With a good loan history, he has applied for his sixth loan of 2000 AZN.
