A loan of $2,550 helped to buy more calves to raise, fatten and sell.

Aydın's story

Aydın is 47 years old, married, and the father of five children. His wife is retired. He is an IDP (internally displaced person) and lives with his wife and children in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. Aydin is Fuzuli refugee. He has been raising cattle for the past 20 years. He says this is a very difficult job. Taking care of animals requires continuous effort, but his wife helps him to raise the cattle, fatten them, and sell in the market. He usually buys the cattle and sells them in the central bazaar after raising and fattening them. His monthly income is 300 AZN. This is the only source of income for the family. He plans to expand the business in order to bring more funds into the family. Selling meat is a very profitable business in Azerbaijan, due the large use of meat in daily meals. Aydin is applying for a loan of 2000 AZN in order to buy more calves. This is going to be his fifth loan from Aqroinvest. He believes this loan will have a positive impact on the expansion of his business.
