A loan of $450 helped to buy groceries.

Regino's story

Regino, 36, has a beautiful family of seven children, five males and two females, four of whom are attending school. They study in the morning and help their father in the afternoon. Regino and his children currently live in the Tierra Linda community of Sacsiguan Canton in Sololá.

He's a farmer by trade, although he works selling groceries in the store he set up in his house. With his income from this store he supports his family and his children's education. He has had the store for two years and has reasonable demand from his neighbors in the community.

He wants to expand his store, so he's requesting a loan for 3,500 quetzales [GTQ] to buy groceries.

Regino's biggest dream is to have a place in the center of Sololá to be able to sell more and increase his profits.
