A loan of $850 helped to buy perfume, creams, nail polish, lipsticks, foundation, etc.

Maria Del Carmen's story

42-year-old Maria lives in the city of Managua. She is married and the mother of four children. Her business is selling cosmetics. In the past, Maria used to sell coconut candies which allowed her to build up a decent customer base. She then attended a training session on selling cosmetics through catalogs and enjoyed it. As a result, she decided to start working full time selling different brands of cosmetics. She sells her products for cash and on credit to people who work in private companies and housewives. Her husband supports her with what he earns as a mechanic. Maria needs this loan to buy perfume, creams, nail polish, lipsticks, foundation, etc. This will allow her to have more new products available in her business so that she can sell a wider range of goods. One of her future plans is to set up a convenience store.
