Ramatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 35-year-old Ramatu from Waterloo eastern area in Freetown. She is married and has 2 children between the ages of 12 years and 18 years. Her children are attending school. She started a business to get earnings for the daily survival of her family.

Ramatu runs a food stand business, she sells cooking seasonings, oil and rice. She has been running this business since 2000. She works at the business 10 hours per day and 7 days per week. Ramatu says that the main challenge to her business is that sometimes purchasing power is very slow.

Ramatu has requested a loan in order to buy food ingredients like cooking seasonings, oil and rice. The extra income from this loan will allow her to educate her children and improve her life. In the future, she plans to expanded her business. She thanks you for your support!
