Elnur is 39 years old and married, but does not have any kids yet. He is an IDP (internally displaced person) and lives with his wife in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. He is growing fruits and vegetables. He plants tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, and other vegetables and fruits. He says, even though this business is very hard, he and his wife have been handling the business for 10 years without any difficulty. Elnur grows vegetables and fruits and sells them in the bazaar. His income from vegetable and fruit sales is 150 AZN. He has more plans for the future, such as to get more lands for cultivation. He is looking forward to the increased sales in the coming summer because people purchase many fruits. Nowadays, he needs a loan of 1,800 AZN. This loan is for the purpose of getting new fertilizers and seeds. It will help him to grow more vegetables and fruits in order to get more revenue in the coming summer, which will help him to support his family’s needs.
