Fatima's story

Fatima is a 32-year-old vigorous, married woman. She has had a business of hand-embroidery for the past three years. She is zealous about her work, and client demand is strong. But business challenges, combined with family expenditures, upset her nearly every day. Her husband is employed as a laborer, but he does not earn enough to support his family by himself. Fatima’s embroidery patterns are very popular on her street, and she is the best earning resource in her household.

Fatima is a mother of four children; she needs to improve her business to meet the needs of her children. She is in her 2nd loan cycle with good repayment history. Currently she has requested a loan of Rs 20,000, to buy raw materials such as thread, sequins and pearls in large quantities to meet with the increasing demands of her customers.
