Balqees's story

Balqees is a 59-year-old woman living in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. She has 8 kids and her husband has been operating an automobile workshop for 15 years. They are facing financial problems due to his low monthly income.

Balqees has requested a loan from Kiva’s partner, BRAC Pakistan. She wants to invest in her husband’s business so that their income and savings would be increased. The main purpose of the loan is that her husband could buy new tools for repairing and tuning automobiles. His customer base would be increased if he has the latest equipment and tools. In the future, with the profit amount, he wants to expand his workshop by adding some more space to it.

Balqees is very hopeful that this loan could solve many problems of her family and she is very thankful to Kiva and BRAC Pakistan for their help.
