A loan of $1,300 helped to buy fertilizers and manure for her potato crops.

Ilda Marilu's story

Ilda is 26 years old, she is married and mother to two children who are youngsters and depend on her and her husband. She has a complete primary education up to sixth grade and she makes her living growing vegetables such as potatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce and cabbage. This was an activity instilled in her by her parents from a young age. The land that Ilda and her husband work is their own thanks to an inheritance from her in-laws. The produce is sold in the local market and sold to the different intermediaries who come to the area.

Ilda is seeking help to invest in her potato crop, to buy fertilizers and manure to strengthen the plant, its roots and the land in which it is planted.

Her plans for the future are to be able to improve her crops, introducing an irrigation system to keep the product healthy and well fed, as well as to continue nurturing but in terms of quantity and quality to offer more to her customers.
