Sana'a, Yemen / Personal Housing Expenses

A loan of $700 helped a member to pay for house renovation.

Al-Entema'a Group's story

Al-Entema'a is a group of three poor women from Sana'a, Yemen. They applied for a 150,000 YER loan. Taqiah, 57 years old, is an educated married woman and the mother of four children. She lives with her family in a small, old house in Sana'a. The house is very old, and it needs a lot of money for renovation. Her husband has managed to accumulate a decent amount of money, but it is not enough. Taqiah decided to help him and applied for a loan in the amount of 50,000 YER.

She hopes that she will be able to open a savings account after finishing the renovation of her house.
