A loan of $1,450 helped buy stock for her corner store.

Elena's story

Sra. Elena is 41 years old, married, and has two children aged 8 and 9 who attend school. She sells basic food items from her corner store located in the Chasquipampa area. This is her first loan with the institution and she plans to use it to buy merchandise such as groceries, candy, and soft drinks to sell in the store. These items are much in demand and more sales will be generated. The challenge Elena faces is competition from the several stores in the area.

She will use the profits to buy more merchandise as stock for the store and continue expanding. Her wish is to see a thriving business and a well-stocked store so that her income will increase and she can provide a better quality of life for herself and her family.
