Although she has received no prior formal education, Aba is an entrepreneur. She specializes in selling footwear in Asafora (near Cape Coast). She has been involved in this enterprise for five years. Aba is married and has eight children. Her husband works as a farmer. The proceeds from her business normally go toward helping her husband cover the family’s general expenses and paying their children’s school fees.
Aba wants to use her loan to increase her current inventory levels, hence allowing her to sell greater quantities of footwear. In the long term, Aba plans to reinvest future profits into her business, thus helping her expand and meet the needs of rising customer demand.
