Efua's story

Efua is married to a farmer. She uses her income to help her husband pay the household expenses as well as to save for a rainy day. Efua currently sells cassava and plantains in Asafora (near Cape Coast). With over five years of experience in this trade, Efua sees an opportunity to expand her enterprise further. Nevertheless, she does not have the working capital necessary to increase her quantity of stock. Thu, her loan will be used to buy more cassava and plantains, indirectly helping her boost her overall sales. Efua wants to make her business self-sustainable as soon as possible. As a result, she plans to channel the new profits from her expanded business back into her enterprise.
