A loan of $500 helped to buy rice, beans and wheat flour.

Cicily's story

Cicily lives in Kilifi, Kenya. She is a single mother of one. She teaches young children but she wants to go full-time into business. She started a charcoal business through a little savings she had together with a group of women.

She knew Milango through an employee of Milango. She now seeks a loan of 41,900 Kenya shillings to buy rice, beans and wheat flour to set up another business: a food canteen. She targets selling food in the market on Saturdays and Wednesdays since most people come to the market on these two days. She wants to tap that market to earn a living. She wants to be delivering charcoal to her customer’s homes in five years when she is not selling food on those two days.
