Susan is a married woman with two children who lives in Catadman, Ozamiz City in the Philippines. To make a living, she owns and manages a bakery making assorted breads and cakes for sale. She has been in this business for seven years.
Last year, she joined GDMPC and gained access to microfinance services. Susan is requesting an amount of 35,000.00 to purchase raw ingredients and she plans to expand her business to create multiple incomes for the family.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
