A loan of $2,550 helped to buy fertilizer and seeds.

Amil's story

Amil is a 34-year-old young client. He has two children who attend school. He is an IDP (internally displaced person) and lives with his wife and children in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. He is a Jabrayili refugee. Amil is growing fruits and vegetables. He plants tomatoes, potatoes, eggplants, and other vegetables and fruit. He says even though this business is very hard, he and his wife have been handling it for five years without any difficulty.

Amil grows vegetables and fruit and sells them in the bazaar. His income from selling these items is 150 AZN. He has more plans for the future, such as to get more land for cultivation. Amil is looking forward to increased sales in the coming summer because people purchase a lot more fruit.

Now he needs a loan of 2,000 AZN. This loan is to buy new fertilizer and seeds to help him to grow more vegetables and fruit. He hopes to earn more revenue in the coming summer, which will help him to support his family’s needs. He has a good loan history; this is his fourth loan.
