A loan of $2,500 helped a member to buy chicks and stock feeds.

Fabulous Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 47-year-old Constance from Harare. She is married with five children and two are attending school. Constance is in the poultry business, selling chickens. The business has been in operation for two years. She says the main challenges she faces are competition from other sellers and chicks dying due to cold weather. Constance has requested a loan of $500 to buy chicks and stock feeds. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to send her children to good schools and university and also improve the family's quality of life. In the future Constance plans to rear broilers (chickens bred for meat) at a capacity of 10,000 birds.
