A loan of $400 helped to buy inputs and fertilizer.

Maria Victoria's story

María Victoria, 41, is married and the mother of four children. She makes a living in agriculture in addition to being a housewife. She only managed to complete the first grade of elementary school because she didn't have the economic resources to continue.

Her oldest child is already married and lives on his own. The next daughter is is eighth grade, the next one in sixth, and the last in fifth. They have a lot of experience in agriculture growing corn and beans for more than 10 years. The land they farm is their own, thanks to a family inheritance. Her customers are the various buyers and intermediaries who come to the area where she lives to resell.

Currently she's requesting a loan to buy inputs and fertilizer to take care of her corn plants because this way she'll be able to strengthen the crop and make the most of the harvest.

Her dream as a mother is to help her children with their studies, their lives, and everything she can so they can improve themselves and have better living conditions and opportunities, because the land they farm will be their inheritance and their patrimony.
