A loan of $1,000 helped to buy some "pagnes" (West-African fabrics): 10 plain sets measuring 1 x 3 meters each, 4 damask sets and one lace set.

Haoua's story

Haoua is single and the mother of two children. Her oldest child is 23 years old and the youngest is 21. Both her children go to school. Haoua supports nine additional persons.

Haoua has been selling "pagnes" (West-African colorful fabrics) since 2009. She buys her merchandise at the District 10 market and from friends who are wholesalers. She works as an itinerant seller and has customers throughout the city.

She wants to buy 10 sets of plain "pagnes" (each measuring 1 x 3 meters), four damask sets, and one lace set.

She saves her profits to meet her repayments. Her ambition is to open a sewing supplies store and to take better care of her children.
