A loan of $425 helped to buy inputs (manure, fungicides, foliar fertilizer) and to pay workers.

Julio Cesar's story

The town of Condega is known as the 'land of potters' owing to its handicrafts and hard-working people. Julio lives in a neighboring community known as Darayli together with his wife and their five children who he has to support and provide with an education. Julio is a farmer by profession. He grows basic grains and engages in small-scale cattle raising. He is known for being an honest, hard-working person with 30 years experience.

Julio owns 56 'manzanas' (1 manzana = 1.73 acres) of land where he is able to grow basic grains and raise cattle.

Julio recently visited Ceprodel and requested a loan to buy manure, fungicides, foliar fertilizers and herbicides. He also needs money to pay workers to maintain his corn and bean crops.

This loan will have a positive impact and benefits for Julio and his family as they work their farm this way every year, improving their standard of living and their financial situation with the income they make from each harvest.
