Eyea's story

Eyea is 42 years old and lives at the Paynesville south area, which is one of the most populated areas in Montserrado County. She is married and has six children between 26 and 12 years old. Only one of her children is in school and lives at home. She described herself as a hardworking person.

For the past 20 years she has been running a shop where she sells rice, soap, charcoal, pepper, etc., in the local market. She likes her business because customers respond to it. She started this business with money given to her by husband. She walks every day to buy her goods since her shop is close to the local wholesale market.

She is requesting a loan to purchase some goods for her business. She plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She likes to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia to enable small-business people to increase their business volume.
