A loan of $750 helped to make improvements to his mechanic shop.

Victor Armando's story

Victor is a twenty years old, single, and lives in the city of Pucallpa with his parents and siblings. He is a very kind, hardworking, and enthusiastic person who really wants to better himself. Thanks to his hard work and his parents' support, Victor was able to pursue a technical degree in mechanics. In his free time he likes to work in his shop and sometimes he makes a delicious lomo saltado, a Peruvian stir-fry, to share with his family.

Through his own initiative and with a lot of hard work and dedication, Victor works at his small business selling replacement parts. He also services small vehicles. He works every day for around 12 hours and he believes it is going well because his prices are good and he treats people kindly.

Victor is very thankful to Kiva's lenders, as it is thanks to their help that he will be able to improve his workshop. He wants to buy construction materials to improve the storefront of his mechanic shop. He also wants to buy display cases he will use to better advertise his spare parts. Victor will keep working and applying himself to achieve his greatest dream of expanding his business to include a general parts store.
