Vanessa Paola's story

Vanessa, 26, makes her living improving men and women's personal image by cutting and coloring hair, manicures and pedicures. Ten years ago, swayed by this activity, Vanessa focused on this area to generate an income doing what she loves best. And so, her business was born, growing little by little. She now offers her services directly to her customers on a cash basis from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm every day and whenever her customers need. These customers are her own neighbors and people from surrounding areas who Vanessa has been captivating with the excellent quality she offers.

At the moment, Vanessa is applying for a Kiva loan, the first lot of financing from the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she will buy hairdressing chairs, shampoo chairs and hairdressing stations to improve her business' structure and better the quality of her service. In doing so, her aim is to support her household ever more, and especially her one-year-old daughter who needs a lot from her and her partner to be successful in the future.
