A loan of $400 helped to buy bus tires.

Luis's story

Luis is married and has a son who helps to earn money for the family. They live in their own house made out of adobe with a cement floor, which has a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. The house is located in the Challapampa zone in the city of La Paz.

Currently, Luis works as a chofer, with his own bus on one of the city's bus lines. His wife also works, and she sells various products itinerantly. Both work every day of the week, and collaborate to pay for utilities, food, and clothing.

This loan is needed to buy new tires for the bus, since the route that Luis works is full of dirt and dust. Luis' dream is to be able to purchase a new bus, which would help him to improve his income and thereby his quality of life. This is the first time he is asking for a loan from IMPRO and KIVA.
