El Injerto Group's story

Carlos is a 46-year-old, married man. He has completed six years of primary education and he has 9 children, 5 of whom are currently in school. He makes his living as a farmer. He started this business in order to generate income to sustain his family. He has 20 years of experience and he has the support of his wife who works with him on the farm.

He organizes a group and they decided to request a loan that will be used to purchase supplies, such as fertilizer and seeds for their crops. In the future they hope to have better and bountiful harvests every year.

The other members of the group work in agriculture, growing coffee, corn and beans. In the photo there are 11 people, but only 7 of them were given the loan.
