Al-Qwa Group's story

Al-Qwa is a group which consists of three ladies who live together in Hadramout, Yemen. They are hardworking women and applied for a loan of 180,000 YER from AMB. Jamila is a 50-year-old married woman with six children. She is the leader of the group. She is illiterate and works hard to bring up her children.

Jamila started selling clothes door-to-door. She feels tired when she does the laundry by hand because she doesn’t have enough money to buy a washing machine; therefore, she applied for a loan of 60,000 YER from AMB. She hopes to improve her living conditions to have better future.
