Chan's story

Chan is a 46-year-old housewife who lives with her husband, two daughters and two sons in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Since 2003, Chan's husband has had a general store, and he works very hard to meet his family's needs.

He needs additional capital for the growth of his business, so Chan has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan so he can buy a variety of goods for his store including flour, sugar, pulses and detergent to satisfy his clients more professionally as well as increase his net income. Chan and her husband are very hopeful that the loan will be a productive one for their family.
