A loan of $525 helped a member to purchase a van.

Nazma's Group's story

Nazma, a member of a two-person borrower group, is a 48-year-old, hardworking housewife with four sons and one daughter and is a resident of Rawalpindi, Pakistan. For the past five years, her husband has been driving a van, which is the only source of income for his family.

Nazma has requested a loan from Kiva's partner BRAC Pakistan to expand her husband's transportation business by buying a new van. They are saving money for this purpose and with the addition of loan amount, they would be able to buy this van. This will not only help expand their transportation business, but will also help increase their monthly income.

She is very hopeful that the loan will be productive so that they can meet the basic necessities of their family and provide education to their children.
