A loan of $800 helped buy tools and spare parts.

Ángela María's story

42-year old Ángela is an enterprising woman who has always enjoyed running a business. For more than ten years she was a seamstress, but because people were slow to make payments, she became bankrupt and closed her business.

After studying the market and seeing the many advantages of a business maintaining and repairing sewing machines and electric appliances, Ángela is seeking a loan to start such a business. The loan would be used to buy tools and spare parts. She is hopeful that the new business will generate employment for two local people. Her dream is for the business to be well-accepted in the marketplace, then expand, and eventually become a source of employment in her town.
