A loan of $775 helped a member to buy flour, sugar, pulses, and detergent to sell.

Bashiran's Group's story

Bashiran is a 50-year-old housewife. She lives with her husband, three daughters, and two sons in Lahore, Pakistan. Since 2003, her husband has had a general store and he works very hard to meet his family needs. He needs additional capital for the growth of his business. For that, his wife, Bashiran, as a member of three-person lending group, has requested a loan from Kiva's partner, BRAC Pakistan. With the loan money, her husband can buy a variety of goods for his general store, like flour, sugar, pulses, and detergent, to satisfy his clients more professionally as well as to increase his net income. Bashiran and her husband are very hopeful that the loan will be a lucky and productive one for their family.
