A loan of $1,650 helped to buy sweets and snacks wholesale.

Luz's story

Luz is sixty years old and is a simple woman. She lives with her husband. Together, they have five children, whom they take care of and raise with a lot of love. Today, they live alone in the house that they bought many years ago.

She is a hardworking woman. In the mornings, she sells sweets and drinks in the state school in her neighborhood. Two years ago, she also bought two cars, which she now uses to provide a public transportation service covering several routes. In this business, her husband helps her; he drives one of the cars. She also sells popular crunchy Andean beans to different stores; she visits three times a week. She makes good profits since she is well-known. Luz always takes advantage of the festive dates, where she can sell distinct products with a lot of demand.

This is her fifth loan with Kiva, and she is happy with the financial support that she receives, since she thereby feels secure in advancing her business. She also promises to pay her installments in a punctual manner.

Luz will invest S/.4500 soles in the purchase of sweets to sell and other snacks wholesale.
