A loan of $2,175 helped to buy two calves and fodder for animals.

Susanna's story

Susanna is a charming 31-year-old lady who is engaged in animal breeding. She is married and lives with her husband and two children in the town of Sevan. Her husband is a driver and works hard days and nights in order to sustain his family, so Susanna is in charge of the upbringing of their children.

Susanna has a higher education and for five years she used to work as an accountant in Sevan. But for more than two years she has been jobless and so she raises cows, bulls and chickens at her farm. The products from farming Susanna sells in the Sevan food markets. She says that raising animals is a very hard occupation, especially for women, but at the same time it is very profitable. Susanna does her best to ensure a good future for her children.

Susanna decided to increase the number of her animals and for this she asks a loan from Kiva lenders to buy two calves and fodder for animals. This is the sixth loan from Nor Horizon for Susanna and the first one from Kiva, and she hopes that her first deal with Kiva will have a good success for her agricultural business.
