A loan of $200 helped to buy inventory.

Naoh's story

Naoh is a 30-year-old businesswoman from Liberia. She is single and has four children between 11 and 7 months old who live at home. Three of her children are currently attending school. She was not fortunate to go to school. She describes herself as a hardworking businesswoman.

She lives and works in St. Paul. St. Paul is home to the oldest market in Liberia and is known for fish due to its location by the sea. St. Paul is a suburb located just outside Monrovia, past the Freeport. It is one of the poorer areas and you will often find its residents living in substandard housing.

Naoh has a table business where she has sold dry and fresh fish in the local market for the past 14 years. She started her business by selling for her friends. She likes her business because she makes a profit. She works ten hours at her business. Her greatest challenge in business is small income.

She intends to use the loan to buy inventory. She hopes to one day own a house.
