A loan of $950 helped a member to buy chickens.

Las Inocentes Group's story

Margarita’s an enterprising 45-year-old woman who attended secondary school but was unable to continue further with her schooling but her mother taught her to work at home and to cook which helped her much through the years since for more than 20 years she’s worked selling Mexican fast-food snacks. She was able to move her family forward thanks to this activity.

She currently works selling roasted chickens on the weekend (Saturdays and Sundays) at home and she’s doing very well. What she likes best about her activity is that it’s only weekends. She earns her money and does what she likes best which is cooking. The people who buy her chickens say they are delicious because Margarita is a very tasty cook.

A VisiónFund loan will help her buy chickens to continue with her sales. She wants her business to continue making progress and in future she’d like to start a new activity. She belongs to the group called “Las Inocentes” (The Innocent Ones) located in the community of La Reforma.

The group consists of:
Karina - shoe sales,
Rosa María - shoe sales,
Elizabeth -chicken sales,
Jannet - costume jewelry sales,
Minerva - grocery sales.

In this group: Karina Leticia, Margarita , Rosa Maria , Elizabeth, Jannet, Minerva
