Magenta Group's story

This group of five responsible, hardworking people is called Magenta. It’s located in Tierra Blanca also known as the “sun’s betrothed” because of the intense heat in summer. This community is known for commerce and cattle-raising.

Juan Carlos is one of the group members. He’s 45 years of age and only attended secondary school. He’s married to Aremy and they have a little boy attending primary school.

Juan Carlos relates that since he didn’t have much formal education his parents taught him to work in order to get ahead and now that he’s formed his family he has to work even harder to provide them better quality of life.

Juan Carlos sells candy and soft-drinks from place to place; he’s been in business a little more than five years. He sells from his three-wheeled cart where he arranges his candies on a small shelf that he adapted and on the bottom part he carries his cooler of soft-drinks. He does his sales along Tierra Blanca’s streets and he’s known by the people.

A VisiónFund loan will help him invest in the purchase of a variety of candies, soft-drinks, juices and snacks. He wants his business to continue to grow so that he can provide his son with the opportunity to study a career in future.

This group thanks VisiónFund for the support provided. The other group members are:
