Margaret's story

Margaret is 40 years old and live in New Kru Town, one of the early communities in Liberia that is well-known. She is married and has children ages between 16 and 3 years old who are presently in school and live at home. She a high school graduate.

For the past three years, Margaret has been running a shop where she sells dresses and lappas (traditional clothing). She started this business by dressing hair. With the little money that she received from this hair dressing business she managed to establish her current business and learned this ways of selling from her friends. She is very happy with her business because she makes a lot of profits and it keeps her busy. Most interestingly, she has learned difference kinds of local languages.

Margaret is requesting a loan to buy more dresses and lappas to increase her sales. Her plans are to build another shop and educate her children.
