A loan of $325 helped to buy one more buffalo.

Sakeena's story

Ms. Sakeena is a 55-year-old married woman and has been running a business of milk selling with her husband for many years. The man shown in the photo is Sakeena's husband. They have two buffalos in milk and sell their milk to many of their neighbors, along with butter and cheese that they make from the milk. She looks after the buffaloes and performs the task of collecting milk from them while her husband sells it to different places on a daily basis. They are happily doing it together to support their family. They have three children.

They need to earn much more to meet their everyday expenditures, including food, clothing and education. In order to reach more people in their community, Sakeena requested for a loan of 30,000 PKR to buy one more buffalo. They hope to get an increase in the production capacity of milk, which ultimately helps in generating more cash.
