Al-Fuad Group's story

This group is called Al-Fuad and consists of four ladies who live in Sana`a, Yemen. Aisha is one of the many Yemeni women who work from home, using her sewing skills to generate some income and participate in meeting the financial needs of her family. She is 41 years old, and is married. She has five years experience with her home-based sewing and tailoring business, and has an established client base. Aisha is now trying to improve her business, and would like to focus on improving her own work experience. She has applied for a loan of 50,000 YER from AMB to buy a sewing machine for her business. As a group, the members collectively guarantee the loan.
