A loan of $500 helped to buy corn in bulk.

Maria Elizabeth's story

Fifty-three year old Maria lives with her husband and their three children in their own home.

For the past several years she has earned a living selling tortillas from her house. She works Monday to Sunday and has a large clientele because she is hard-working and friendly. With the earnings from the sales she manages to cover her household expenses.

Maria is requesting a loan to buy corn in bulk to continue making tortillas. This will increase her earnings and give her and her family greater economic stability.
