A loan of $575 helped to buy a cow.

Flor's story

Flor is a 19-year-old young woman who lives with her parents-in-law with her husband and small son. Her main business is making dairy products. Every morning she and her husband go milk the cows so they can make cheese and sell it in their village or send it to another city. At first things were difficult because they did not have enough money to buy more cattle so production was limited. But thanks to support from their family they were able to increase their livestock and milk and cheese production. Like other women entrepreneurs, Flor wants to make her small business flourish so she can supply her customers with the best quality products. This is her first Kiva loan and she is very grateful for the opportunity. The loan will be very useful for her work. She is requesting 1,500 PEN to buy a cow to increase production and improve her business.
